Oceania Championships Women's U19 Time
Trial Preview |

The 2015 Oceania Championships
starts off with the junior women's individual time trial. A
dominant Alexandra Manly took gold last year but has stepped
up to
the elite ranks for 2015.
The Route
The out and back 13.68km route starts in Helidon and the road
is almost completely strait for 5km along Gatton-Helidon road
before turning on to Sandy Creek
road for around 1km before turning around and heading back in
to Helidon. The almost pan flat route makes it one for the
time trial specialist.
The Contenders
Start list available
here
Anna-Leeza Hull
It might not be well known now but in a few years the name
Anna-Leeza Hull will be one everyone is familiar with. Won of
the best juniors in the world
against the clock as evidence by her bronze medal at the World
Championships last year. Would probably prefer a slightly
hillier course but will be very hard
to beat. Crashed out of Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race.
Kristina Clonan
Steps up to the under 19 ranks for the first time. Fifth in
the Australian under 17 time trial last year but is the top
finisher of those starting here. Was
showing good form at the Australian Track Championships at the
end of January. Finishing fifth in the individual pursuit,
missing a spot in the final by just
over a second.
Jessica Pratt
Pratt finished fifth last year, one spot behind Hull. Likely
to be one of the big challengers to Hull. More experienced
than a number of others in the field
and this should be to her advantage.
Tori Saunders
Recent silver medallist on the track in the individual pursuit
at the Australian Championships in January. The distance here
is somewhat longer at 10km
compared to the two on the track.
Other names to watch: Jaime Gunning |
